To commemorate this year’s independence anniversary, HighStakes Public Relations Professionals has unveiled plans for the inaugural Pivot Nigeria Conference.

Themed, ‘Reframing the lens’, convener of Pivot Nigeria Victoria Uwadoka told The Guardian that the initiative aims to interrogate prevailing narratives about Nigeria and Nigerians.

Saying changing how the world sees Nigeria must begin with how Nigerians see themselves, she added, “a nation’s reputation is not merely an external problem to be managed; it is a civic resource to be strengthened at home.”

To her, Pivot Nigeria, therefore, provides a practical platform to spark constructive conversations, catalyse collaboration, and co-create solutions rooted in our lived realities.

Speaking further, Uwadoka added, “we will gather voices of passion, purpose, and progress to engage in conversations that would challenge us to think differently, to reset our perspectives, and to act with courage. Pivot Nigeria is a rallying point for dialogue, innovation and collective action toward the
Nigeria we aspire to build. It is a movement of hearts and minds determined to see Nigeria live her full potential.”

The event will also feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and co-creation breakouts designed to produce actionable recommendations for implementation.

Confirmed contributors include, renowned actor, lawyer, filmmaker and cultural icon Richard Mofe Damijo; founder and Chief Executive Officer of Afia TV, Emeka Mba, and author and human rights activist Shehu Sani.

The conference is free to attend but places are limited; interested parties are invited to register via the HighStakes Public Relations Professionals website and contact the team for partnership or hosting enquiries.
