PIVOT NIGERIA: REFRAMING THE LENS

Reclaiming Nigeria’s Story. Inspiring Belief. Driving Progress.

About Pivot Nigeria

Pivot Nigeria is a bold initiative designed to reframe Nigeria’s reputation agenda by sparking constructive conversations, catalyzing collaboration, and co-creating solutions that reflect our realities through renewed perspectives.

At its core, Pivot Nigeria affirms that changing how the world sees Nigeria begins with how Nigerians see themselves.

We therefore aim to strengthen our values, pride, and collective confidence through curated activities including conferences, debates, cultural activations, sports-for-development, entrepreneurship showcases, and storytelling.

We are reclaiming Nigeria’s story, inspiring belief and driving progress.

The inaugural Pivot Nigeria conference themed Reframing the Lens is scheduled to hold from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the MUSON Centre in Lagos, Nigeria.

We are convening change makers, thought leaders and patriots to challenge prevailing narratives about Nigeria, spotlight authentic experiences and shape a National Storytelling Playbook to reframe our focus and inspire action across society.

FAQ

1. What is Pivot Nigeria: Reframing the Lens?

Pivot Nigeria is a bold thought-leadership initiative designed to reframe Nigeria’s reputation agenda. It brings together voices from business, government, culture, academia, and civil society to challenge prevailing narratives, spotlight authentic stories, and co-create solutions that reflect the realities of our nation through a fresh, renewed lens.

Nigeria stands at a critical juncture where global perceptions often overshadow our strengths and potential. The way the world sees us influences investment, tourism, diplomacy, and even our own sense of national pride. Pivot Nigeria is important because it starts with belief—belief in our collective agency, our ability to repair what is broken, and our responsibility to showcase what is working. By reframing our story, we inspire confidence at home and abroad.

The inaugural conference is themed: “Reframing the Lens.”
It emphasizes the need to shift perspectives and embrace a fresh narrative about Nigeria—one that is authentic, solution-driven, and anchored in truth.

Pivot Nigeria has invited a diverse lineup of respected voices including patriots, thought leaders, cultural icons, policymakers, business leaders, and academics. Confirmed speakers include:
• Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Nigerian actor, lawyer, filmmaker, and cultural icon
• Emeka Mba, Founder & CEO, Afia TV
• Senator Shehu Sani, Author and human rights activist

Date: Friday, October 3, 2025

Pivot Nigeria is not just an event—it is a movement that requires collective ownership. Everyone has a part to play in reframing Nigeria’s narrative: • As individuals: by presenting and representing yourself and your country well. • As professionals: by showcasing integrity and excellence in our respective fields. • As organizations: by doing business responsibly and leaning into collaboration across sectors to drive solutions.

Pivot Nigeria is convened by HighStakes PR Professionals, a communications and reputation management firm committed to shaping narratives, managing reputations, and connecting individuals and organizations with opportunities that allow them to achieve their highest potential.

We want Pivot Nigeria to spark a shift in how Nigeria is perceived, both locally and globally. Beyond the conference, the goal is to inspire collaborative projects, influence policy, and empower citizens to see themselves as agents of change. The conversation begins on October 3, but the movement will continue well beyond the event.
